PE Wicket Bags

PE wicket bags are polyethylene bags supplied in stacks, held together by a metal wire, called the wicket, that passes through holes at the top of each bag. The wicket keeps every bag in its place, so the whole stack stays tidy and organised.

The bags hang on the wicket in a neat pile, so they are easy to open, fill and close. They can be used by hand or on an automatic or semi-automatic packing machine, which makes them a good fit for many different packing setups.

The bags are pre-cut, and with their shape and sizes they are ready for automated packaging applications. Every bag in the stack is the same, so each one can be handled in exactly the same way.

PE Wicket bags

Packing with PE wicket bags follows three simple steps.

Load the stack

A wicketed stack of bags is hung on the packing station or the machine. The whole stack goes on in one go, and the bags stay neatly in order on the wicket until they are used.

Open and fill

Each bag is opened, usually by a jet of air, and the product is inserted. Because the bags hang ready on the wicket, each one is easy to open and fill in turn, one after another.

Close the bag

The bag is sealed with a clip, tape, heat sealer or adhesive strip, and it separates cleanly from the wicket. You can choose the closing method that suits your packing, and once the bag is closed and removed, the next one on the stack is ready to go.
